ROYAL RIDGE EQUESTRIAN CENTER – Lesson Policy
1.) Instructor will wait a maximum of 15 minutes for student(s) to arrive to
their scheduled lesson. No shows will
be charged for a missed lesson.
2.) Instructor asks to be given a 24-hour cancellation notice, otherwise student
will be charged.
3.) If student is on a weekly program, missed lessons MUST be used within 30 days, or they will be
forfeited, there are no refunds for unused
lessons.
4.) In case of rain or previous wet weather, please call your instructor prior to
your lesson.
5.) Lesson packages are to be paid on the students first lesson. There is a
one week grace period or else a late fee of $20 will apply.
Checks can be mailed to instructor’s home address:

6.) If student is late for
their scheduled lesson, student will only receive the scheduled lesson hour
(i.e.: lesson will not be extended).
7.) Advanced- half hour students- Students are required to prepare their
horse for the lesson and take care of their horse after the lesson. In order to have
time to do this, students should arrive at least fifteen minutes before the
lesson and remain fifteen minutes after. We are not able to
supervise students after this time, so please arrange to have your child
picked up.
8.) If student cannot tack up their horse properly on their own, their lesson will include tacking and
untacking, grooming, basic safety around horses, and some riding.
9.) Attire: All
students must wear a helmet while mounted at all times. Students must wear boots
with a low heel and hard sole. Long pants either breeches or jeans are
permitted. Half chaps or tall boots are highly recommended.
Students not following this dress code will not ride and will be charged for
a lesson.
10.) STUDENTS REMEMBER!!! tack
shed must stay clean; polo wraps need to be rewrapped properly, all tack
must be returned to their correct place, and horses must be well groomed
before they are put away. If these rules are not followed your riding
time will be shortened, as instructor will have to supervise you.
Thank you,
Emily Richards and Janna Fetsch
