Emily
Richards- Head Trainer / Riding Instructor
Emily has shown on a
variety of circuits, including: The Greater San Diego Hunter Jumper
Association, Class "A" & Regional Arabian show circuits, California Professional Horseman's Association, Poway
Valley Riders Association, Vista Palomar Riders Association, Ramona
Santana Riders Association, Flying Hooves Miramar, and more...
She has trained
with and worked for some of the top trainers in the horse world before
beginning her own career.
She has done many different disciplines from hunter/ jumpers and saddleseat
to western pleasure and reining. She began her horse training
career at a facility in Fallbrook, CA where she trained and managed
over 100 horses for two years. From there she began her own training
and lesson program.
Having worked for
such an array of horse trainers before starting her own career, has
benefited Emily in both her teaching and training skills.
Although specializing in hunter/ jumpers she has experience in the
following disciplines: Western, Saddleseat, Hunters and
Dressage. She has also benefited from working with many
different breeds of horses and ponies including Welsh and POA ponies,
Quarter Horses, Paints, Warmbloods, Thoroughbreds, Arabians, National
Show Horses, Saddlebreds, and more..
"Working with so many different breeds and disciplines has
tremendously helped my training career...and having so many
different training methods I'm able to mold my techniques to each
horse and riders needs. I feel I have the knowledge and
experience to establish a successful relationship between any horse
and rider. There is no such thing as a bad horse, just
miscommunication between horse and rider." --
